    Sangiovese, Trebbiano

Trebbiano/Sangiovese. From 55 year old vines of Sangiovese that were grafted to Trebbiano, but in many cases the Sangiovese has grown back up from the rootstock so that the vines have both red and white bunches on the same vine. As such it is red and white field blend of sorts. But what a blend, it spends 10 days sealed whole-bunch in a tank and then pressed. With a nose of peaches and red fruits, followed by a lovely soft, orange-fruited palate that is framed by delicate acidity, and lovely length.
