This is not the Pinot Noir you know — it's an ancient strain of Pinot Noir that originates from the Jura, also known as Savagnin Noir. There are only 2 parcels of this rare grape in the region, including this plot located in Le Vernois with calcareous and marn soils. Here we see some of Pinot's sous bois flavors — red fruit, black tea and cocoa — alongside delicate minerality. 100% whole bunch fermentation resulting in a dense but high toned Pinot.
